Eliminate Barriers

Officially, 1 in 9 people in Central Oregon lives in poverty. However, nearly 1 in 3 are hovering above the official poverty line. Whether living at, under or above the official threshold, those with low incomes face a number of barriers that keep them from becoming economically stable. As an intermediary, The Partnership helps those who help others - working with over 300 partners to either eliminate these barriers or help people overcome them.

  • Family Access Network

    FAN advocates are located in all public schools in Deschutes County and serve families living in poverty with children ages 0-18. Advocates work hand in hand with families to connect them to food, shelter, clothing, heating, school supplies, health services, or whatever the need.
