Our Communities

The Partnership serves the community of Central Oregon, a region defined as three counties and the eight incorporated cities: Bend, Culver, LaPine (including Sunriver and south Deschutes County) Madras, Metolius, Prineville, Redmond, Sisters. The land mass of these communities is 7,833 square miles (nearly the size of the state of New Jersey) of which approximately one third is federally owned and thus largely unpopulated. The region also includes the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. The current estimated population of the tri-county area is an estimated 201,991. Since 2000, the region’s population has grown 31.5 percent, compared to 10.8 percent for the state of Oregon and 8.0 percent for the U.S. overall.
