Take Credit Coalition
Tax Preparation & Assistance
Take Credit tax aid is a coalition of Central Oregon organizations who have come together to increase the number of Central Oregonians who benefit from free tax preparation and receive tax credits that help raise their level of self-sufficiency. Led by Partnership to End Poverty, the coalition’s goal is to continually increase the number of available tax aid sites, volunteers and filers in Central Oregon.
Organizations included in this coalition are: Internal Revenue Service, Oregon Department of Revenue, American Association of Retired Persons, Warm Springs Community Action Team, Oregon State University Extension Service, Representative Greg Walden’s Office, One Economy and Partnership to End Poverty. We are continually looking for additional coalition members and welcome them as partners in our efforts.
Our coalition efforts are in the following areas:
• Provide each community with free tax filing option
• Reduce the number of high-priced Refund Anticipation Loans (RALs)
• Market the EITC value to families and the community
• Provide economic benefit to the community through tax credits and refunds
• Promote complimentary economic self-sufficiency initiatives
